Social Epidemiological Vulnerability Index (SEVI) across 295 sub-counties in Kenya grouped into seven ranks from the least vulnerable sub-counties to the most vulnerable.

The study highlights the most vulnerable groups in the country and their geographic location. These groups provide an improved understanding of the population characteristics which will help when setting up interventions in response to COVID-19. Three vulnerability indices were used to identify the areas and people who require greater support while addressing health inequities in Kenya. These indices are; Social Vulnerability Index (SVI), Epidemiological Vulnerability Index (EVI) and the combination of the two, Social Epidemiological Vulnerability Index (SEVI) at the sub-national level in Kenya.

Indices

  • Social Vulnerability Index (SVI)
  • Epidemiological Vulnerability Index (EVI)
  • Social Epidemiological Vulnerability Index (SEVI)
